Walmart this morning announced a new partnership with e-commerce shopping platform, Shopify, now used by over 1 million businesses.
The deal will open Walmart’s Marketplace to Shopify’s small business sellers, with the goal of bringing 1,200 Shopify sellers to the marketplace this year. The partnership will greatly expand the reach of the participating brands by placing them in front of Walmart Marketplace’s 120 million monthly visitors.
Jeff Bezos is already the world’s wealthiest person by a healthy margin and he’s the founder and CEO of one of the world’s few trillion-dollar companies.
But before this decade is over, one extremely optimistic estimate projects that the Amazon CEO could also become worth $1 trillion all by himself. That’s according to an analysis from Comparisun, a content platform that serves small- and medium-sized businesses.
Comparisun predicts that Bezos will become the world’s first trillionaire by 2026, according to the firm’s new study, which looks at the average annual growth of the billionaire’s net worth over the past five years.

Amazon.com Inc. says the one- and two-day delivery times that shoppers have come to expect should gradually return in coming weeks as the online retailer catches up from a demand surge tied to the coronavirus outbreak.
